Fueling the Heart Powered movement

Text STROKE to 46839 to add your voice to the Heart Powered grassroots advocacy movement.

Hp Slogan Full Color
The American Heart Association introduces Heart Powered. Formerly known as You’re the Cure, American Heart Association Heart Powered was announced last year to help shape science-based public policy that improves cardiovascular health for everyone, everywhere. This national movement builds on more than four decades of nonpartisan advocacy and includes individuals, families, communities — and experts like you. The Heart Association invites you to help drive the policies that make that innovation possible.

One of our most urgent priorities is protecting federal funding for the National Institutes of Health. NIH-supported biomedical research is the backbone of progress in cardiovascular medicine. As experts and advocates, your voice carries weight with members of Congress who make decisions about this critical investment.

The Heart Association’s advocacy priorities extend beyond NIH funding to other critical issues. Whether it is preventing tobacco use and nicotine addiction, ensuring access to healthy food, increasing access to health care coverage, strengthening the chain of survival or improving systems of care, American Heart Association Heart Powered informs policy with science, empowers advocates to share their voices and engages communities through action.
